This time last year I was wandering into a scary and overwhelming place. I had calculated a daily calorie goal, made a plan to work out every day except Saturday and Sunday-with two of those days having double workouts. I swapped yoga and bodyflow for tabata and bootcamp, I lost 30 lbs by April and 35 by July when I went in for Surgery. I halved my clothes size and got healthy.
It's a lot lot lot to be proud of but it's still not where I want to be. After my surgery I gained 5 lbs (not bad considering) but then once I did go back to the gym I ended up gaining another 5 (I assume muscle)....and after some minor 5 lb swings in both directions, I am still 5ish lbs up.
I took a month break (mostly from the gym-but I also let myself enjoy the holidays) so I expect when I weigh in on the 2nd, it won't be pretty but I am also hoping it's motivation to get down to my ultimate goal weight, that magic number that I would feel content with.
So, here we go again. One year later I am again saying I want to loose 20 lbs (at least), fingers crossed I will have an awesome repeat. And yes, I intend to have a weekly check in and I'll share tips as I go.
