This has been the plan for awhile but here are my goals for 2012...not resolutions...goals...for serrrrrrrious
1. Find a place to volunteer regularly and actually do it.
2. Finish unpacking...finally...every last box.
3. Lose 20 pounds...with Rand...by June
3.a. Start the 30 Day Shred January 2nd
3.b. Still go to the gym 4 days a week
3.c. Go back to eating totally healthy-add a veggie to every dinner
3.d. No fast food. Ever.
4. Get established at a church
5. Resume knitting
6. Find a new job, one that I'll love and one that pays me what I should be earning!

7. Post on Slice of Special Daily

8. And last but not least, because it's probably the 2nd most important and challenging: I'm starting a no new 2012....I won't buy any new clothes or accessories in 2012 unless they are from a gift card or a gift. I am going to try to go a whole year without buying any new purses, hats, gloves, scarves.
My only exceptions to this rule will be:
Shoes (but only if a pair wears out or breaks),
headbands ( I go through a lot for the gym and I'm not going to give that up),
underwear and bras-hopefully that's obvious,
and finally gym clothes (but I don't buy much and it's usually replacement stuff anways).
If I can do this, for real, for the whole year, the amount of money I save would most likely be obscene.
So there you have it. I think every one of these goals is entirely obtainable. I hope by sharing them I hold myself more accountable...
What are you trying to accomplish in 2012?!

AWESOME post! You've inspired me to make one myself later! Thanks hun!
ReplyDeleteAnd great list of goals! Losing weight is so frusterating sometimes but the payoff is well worth it! Former girl of 220lbs, it feels AMAZING to be 100lbs lighter! YOU GO GIRL!

That's a pretty good list. I want to get ripped with muscles in 2012, but I hate working so so we'll see how that goes.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably email you my blog post next week. I'm deliriously ill right now and I want to be healthy and well when I write it so I don't sound like a maniac lol. Can you email me exactly what you want answered??? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks ladies-to clarify-no NEW shopping-I'll still be able to vintage and thrift, on a strict-ish budget though of course!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Lori! Those sounds like awesome goals and I think I should probably adopt some of them myself, especially the ones about getting healthier and buying fewer new items!

My dear Lexi Lou-I shall have to live vicariously through your shopping...but we need to have at least bi-monthly vintage shopping days-just sayin...
